Rolling bearing steels

Rolling bearing steels are stainless steels which, in addition to carbon, also contain various alloying elements such as chromium, manganese or nickel. Rolling bearings such as ball bearings or roller bearings are usually made from hardened chromium steel, which contains about 1% carbon and up to 1.5% chromium.

The task of rolling bearings is to guide moving parts and to absorb / transmit the forces acting on them. The bearings must operate under changing speeds and high loads with a low level of friction and must have a long service life.

Wilhelm Jungermann GmbH supplies rolling bearing steel (steel grade100 Cr 6) for balls, rollers, rings and discs up to a diameter of 30 mm.
